DETAIL: Toseland studied at Northampton School of Art and at the Royal College of Art. Following service in the Second World War (as a cartographer), Toseland was a picture restorer and scrivener at the College of Arms. Exhibitions included the Royal Academy summer shows (1950-51), Britain in Watercolour together with 24 solo exhibitions at Eton College.
