DETAIL: An amazing quality work by the well listed painter Bill Dean, one of our favourite contemporary artists. Dean was born in North London 1st March 1932. He studied Book Illustration, Printing and Binding at Hornsey School of Art returning after National Service to take ATC. He started painting in 1986 when made redundant. Learned to paint by reading everything, studying other painters’ work and learning on the job. Inspired by Walter Sickert, Ruskin Spear and early Victor Pasmore. Started painting on site when invited by Trevor Chamberlain to be a guest of Wapping Group of Artists and was elected to WGA in 2011 and the year before to the prestigious ROI.
Exhibited with: RA (summer exhibition), RSMA, ROI, RBA, Discerning Eye, WGA and at various galleries in UK.
