DETAIL: Painter, notable for richly coloured, painterly landscapes of Ireland and East Anglia, as in his solo show at The Medici Galleries, 1996. He initially worked as a studio assistant to F V Magrath, studying part-time at the Sir John Cass and Camberwell Schools of Art, 1967–72. After this, he formed the Romney Studio Workshop. Casseldine won The Brandler Painting Prize in 1988 and in 1991 was elected a full academician at RWA, having been an associate from 1985. Also exhibited at Nina Zborowska Fine Paintings in Painswick, RA, Rooksmoor and Adam Galleries in Bath, Wykeham Gallery and Penwith, St Ives. Lived in Chalford, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
