DETAIL: Interesting work dating to the 1930’s but Margot Sharman – the daughter of artist Grace Rogers (1882-1959). Rogers worked closely with renowned London painter Austin Spare becoming close friends, colleagues and his critical observer. Margot (as she was better known) lived in Chelsea and despite a privileged background was a volunteer ambulance driver in World War 2. She lived to 95, never married and her work has never come up for sale before so perhaps this firescreen was we assume for her own pleasure and function.More Winifred Margot Sharman paintings wanted.
