DETAIL: Educated briefly at the Slade School in London before leaving to work for the Bristol studios of AS & A Robinson lithographic printers in 1918. He was elected a member of the Bristol Savages in 1928 and exhibited there for nearly 30 years up until his untimely early death in 1958. He also exhbited 17 paintings at the Royal West Of England Academy 1925-1949 and also at the Baillie Gallery and at the Royal Academy London 1925-1949. He died at Redland Bristol in June 1958 at the age of just 57.
