DETAIL: Violet Rose Fuller was an artist in watercolour and oil, born in Tottenham, London, who studied at Hornsey School of Art, 1937–40, with Russell Reeve, then at Stroud School of Art, 1942–4. She “concentrated mainly landscape, the elements and the quality of light” in her work. Fuller, who did graphic work, was a prolific exhibitor. She was a fellow and founder-member of the Free Painters and Sculptors, having solo shows including the Loggia Gallery, Woodstock Gallery and Old Bakehouse Gallery, Sevenoaks. Mixed shows included RA, RBA, RI, and NEAC. London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey hold her pictures. Lived in Woodingdean, Sussex.
