DETAIL: Educated at St Leonards School St.Andrews Scotland and later at the Edinburgh School Of Art – attending at the heyday of the Scottish Colourists Peploe & Cadell) who were friends of Claire. In the late 1920s she visited Spain, France & Italy before returning to the UK enrolling in Westminster School Of Art in 1934. For the next 40 years she passed her time painting in Europe and the UK. Exhibiting at the ROI, RBA and in Scotland at the Glasgow Institute Of Fine Arts.
