He was elected a member of the New English Art Club in 1977. His intuitive feel for the atmospherics of the climate is his strength. His pictures are richly painted with direct brush strokes, capturing the subtle changes in light and mood. His work is in private collections all over the world. The Furneaux Gallery / Pollard Gallery in Wimbledon was a big supporter of his work and organised exhibitions of his work regularly.
