DETAIL: Born in Bligny near Rheims. He became a pupil of Jean-Pierre Laurens at the Academy Julien Paris in 1906, then of Gabriel Ferrier at the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Beaux Arts Paris in 1908. In 1912 he move to Paris Montmartre District where he participated within a group od 19 artists which included Maurice Sselin, Pierre Bonnard, Andre Dignimont and Jules Pascin at the founding of the Ecole De Montmartre.
