DETAIL: John Martin studied at Hornsey College Of Art and later at Exeter College Of Art. He then attended the prestigious Royal Academy Schools in London under Peter Greenham. He was elected a member of the RBA in 1991 and the recipient of many awards including the Chelsea Stowells Award, David Murray Landscape Scholarship, the WH Patterson Prize and the Winsor & Newton Best Artist Award. More recently John was awarded the De Laszlo Medal at the RBA.
