DETAIL: Painter born, studied and then worked in Cambridge, completing an art foundation course, 1983–4, and a teachers’ training course, 1984–6. She was the granddaughter of the artists Leonard Campbell Taylor and Brenda Moore. Redpath’s work used what was claimed to be a unique combination of oil pastel and gouache to give a distinctive texture, used to portray Cambridge and places seen elsewhere in Britain and abroad with style, animation, wit and attention to detail. Her many solo and mixed shows in the United Kingdom, Paris and New York included an annual exhibition at Wren Gallery, Burford.
